Ever wonder why you have frequent aches and pains but can't seem to locate the cause? Many times this is due to something called “referral pain.”
Referral pain is caused by the impingement (pinching) of sensitive nerves which run throughout the muscle fibers in the body. These nerves are what tell our brain that the body is in pain for one reason or another. Unfortunately, when muscle fibers stick together (knot), they can easily pinch nerves which will send a pain response radiating to other nearby muscles groups.
During a Pain Location Evaluation, one of our highly trained massage practitioners will use the information given in your client intake form coupled with hands-on assessment during your session to help truly locate the source of your reoccurring aches and pains. Should you require a better understanding of what and where the pain is stemming from, your practitioner will use our advanced anatomical software to show which muscle fibers are causing the problems and address how to fix them in future sessions.
